Hi all, this is a no risk, easy as recipe to start cooking tough meats like Beef Brisket. The brisket comes up juicy, tender and tasty, it just takes time and patience. Great for those of you who have a slow cooker as well. It takes approx 3-3.5 hours on the stove top. Ingredients; 1.5KG Beef brisket 250 mls beef stock 1 cup wine (I used a dry white, but you can red if you want) 1-2 tspn smoked paprika 2-3 brown onions roughly sliced 3-4 cloves of garlic roughly chopped S&P to taste I added some broccoli and mushrooms towards the end, add your favourite veggies, so it's up to you what you add. Method; Place onions and garlic into a heavy base pan. Season you brisket well with S&P, place into the pan upside down, add more S&P. Mix paprika into the stock and pour into the pan, add wine. Place on your cooker on low, allow to cook for approx 2-2.5 hours I then added buttom mushrooms cut in half and broccoli, continue for another 45 mins or so. The meat should feel soft to the touch, remove and cut against the grain, I served it with home made wedges! ENJOY! Facebook; / 238702364138077
