Mark Tomlinsion is a clinical psychologist by training and is currently the Co-Director of the Institute for Life Course Health Research (@instituteforlifecourseheal6193) in the Department of Global Health at Stellenbosch University (@stellenboschuniversityinte1234) . He is also Professor of Maternal and Child Health in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Queens University, Belfast, UK. His scholarly work has involved a diverse range of topics such as improving early childhood development, mental health, adolescent health, and on life course approaches to understanding child and adolescent development. He spoke at the Thrive scientific conference on 24 June 2025 on the future of interventions at scale in early childhood development sector. The Thrive scientific conference was a two-day international interdisciplinary conference bringing together leading experts to discuss the latest early childhood development research on how to successfully scale early childhood development programmes and policies in low-and middle -income countries. @OPMglobal @ukforeignoffice
