商品詳細: https://www.fostermusic.jp/products/d... 1900年代、ライト兄弟をはじめとする世界中の飛行家たちが、空飛ぶ乗り物の研究に熱心に取り組んでいました。ブラジル人のサントス・デュモンもその一人であり、移住先のフランスで飛行船の研究をしていました。実は、彼はライト兄弟より先に飛行船を飛ばしていたのではという説があります。しかし、当時の正式な記録がないために、彼は歴史に埋もれてしまいました。 どちらが初飛行を果たしたのかという事実はさておき、“世紀末の伊達男”とも呼ばれたサントス・デュモンは、冒険心溢れるとても気だてのよい男でした。そのひとつのエピソードとして、彼の偉業に対し高額の賞金が与えられたとき、彼はその半分以上をパリの恵まれない人へ寄付、残りの額はすべて、彼と共に研究を進めた仲間に分け与えたと言われています。晩年は、遠く離れた家族や友人に会いに行くためにつくられた飛行機が、戦場で使われるのを目にし、心痛めて自ら命を絶ったとも言われています。十数年にわたる研究の間、何度か事故に合うなど苦労もありましたが、意気消沈することなどなく、記録を更新するため、根気よく飛行船づくりに励んでいました。パリの上空を飛ぶ彼は、ヨーロッパ航空界の第一人者であり、時代のヒーローでした。 そんなサントス・デュモンの希望に満ち、困難に諦めず立ち向かう姿や思いをイメージして作曲しました。 余談ではありますが、彼の名が唯一残されているのは、あの有名なカルティエの腕時計です。「飛行中にカバンから懐中時計を取り出すのは面倒だ、操縦しながら手元で時間が見たい」という頼みを聞いたサントスの友人カルティエが、彼のために腕時計を作りました。その原型をもつ腕時計が今でも“サントス・デュモン・モデル”として残され、歴史の溝に埋もれてしまった彼の名と共に時を刻んでいます。 この2024年版は玉名女子高等学校吹奏楽部の委嘱により加筆した改訂版です。（樽屋雅徳） ───────────────────── サントス・デュモンの大空への夢（2024年版） Santos Dumont's dream of the sky 2024 ───────────────────── 作編曲：樽屋雅徳 (Masanori TARUYA) 吹奏楽大編成 演奏時間: 0:8:45 グレード: 4 品番（商品コード）: FML-0373（102-19542） #樽屋雅徳 #吹奏楽 #コンクール自由曲 Santos Dumont's dream of the sky 2024 | Masanori TARUYA The 1900s was a period when aviators around the world were enthusiastically conducting research on flying vehicles. One such aviator was the Brazilian Santos-Dumont, who was researching airships in France, where he had migrated to. Known as the “Napoleon of the fin-de-siécle,” Santos-Dumont received large sums of money for his contributions, which he donated over half to the underprivileged in Paris and shared the rest with his fellow researchers who had worked alongside him. In his later years, he was said to have taken his life after witnessing the miserable sight of an airplane that he had built to visit his distant family and friends being used in war. Despite the accidents and other challenges he encountered over the course of his decade-long research, Santos-Dumont persevered in his efforts to build record-breaking airships, which made him a pioneer in European aviation and a hero of his time. This piece was inspired by Santos-Dumont, someone who embodied hope and never gave up in the face of difficulties. The only thing that still bears his name today is a famous Cartier watch. He had asked Louis-François Cartier, a friend of his, to make a wristwatch for him so that he could see the time while flying as he found it a hassle to retrieve his pocket watch from his bag mid-flight. This “Santos-Dumont Model” is still ticking along with his name in the annals of history. This 2024 version is a revised version of the original that was written in 2012.
