For stillwater fly fishers, dragonfly nymphs are a "big fish fly." Brook trout love them. When trout seem fixated on a particular food source, a big dragonfly nymph pattern, such as a Butler's Bug, is tough to resist. Dragon nymphs are a confidence pattern for many stillwater fly fishers. Make sure to tie up a few Butler's Bugs and stash them within your stillwater fly box.
