For those interested, the song (part of the band's concept album Nightfall in Middle Earth based on J.R.R. Tolkien's Silmarillion) is about the aftermath of Dagor Bragollach, the Battle of a Sudden Flame. Seeing the elves crushed by the surprising attack of the dragon Glaurung and Morgoth's minions, Fingolfin, the High Lord of the Noldor Elves, rode alone to Angband (the Iron Hill , Morgoth's fortress). There, he challenged the Dark Lord to single combat. Despite being agile and injuring Morgoth 7 times , Fingolfin was finally crushed , not before leaving the Dark Lord a "souvenir" to always remember him: a permanent wound on his left leg.
