The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation funded a 26 episode series produced for BBC World News called "The Health Show", meant to showcase the most innovative technologies around the globe for healthcare. PrePex was selected for the world series premiere. Shot on location in Rwanda, the video highlights the major challenge PrePex addresses - decreasing the spread of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. According to the UN: Every 16 seconds, someone contracts HIV. Every 12 seconds someone dies of AIDS. It's time to turn the tide on the pandemic of our generation. PrePex is an FDA cleared device for non-surgical adult male circumcision for HIV prevention in resource limited settings.
