This weird little Italian folder was made in Italy circa 1968 or 69, and equipped with mostly Italian parts save for an English three speed hub and a Japanese rear brake that appears to be a complete afterthought. Uncertain whether the rear brake was added by the factory as an export consideration, or by the importer here in the US. If you do a little web searching for late 60's Italian folding bikes, you'll find an almost identical Bianchi that has a rear brake bridge built into the frame. My guess is that the Bianchi and the Porta Bike were made by the same company, as a subcontract to one or both of brands. If anybody out there is good at researching in Italian, please feel free to fill in the gaps. I'm calling this part 1.5 because the project was actually started before the camera could catch it. This is my first attempt at shooting or editing a project video, so bear with me as I figure all of this out. I assume if you're watching this, it's the middle of the night and you're having trouble sleeping, so I'll endeavor to keep the noise down. You can expect slightly more churlish croaking and hopefully some incidental music on future projects, but for this video, I just sort of put the camera down and got to work.
