Brick Lane in East London is famous for its curry houses, market, street art, fashion, beigel shops and is home to some of the best nightclubs in the city attrracting huge crowds of people during the week and weekends. Join us as we take a walk from Spitalfields Market on Commercial Street, past the Ten Bells pub (famous in Jack the Ripper times) onto Fournier Street (passing some very nice old merchant houses) and entering Brick Lane around its half way mark. We turn left and take a stroll past the once thriving Truman Black Eagle brewery, 93 Feet East nightclub, Brick Lane market and two of the oldest Beigel shops on Brick Lane before ending at Bethnal Green Road. After filming we joined the queue for our Salt Beef Beigels (with extra pickle and mustard) from Beigel Bake... 😋 For those of you interested in London history, in the 16th century a brewer named Joseph Truman came to the area, his family later set up the above mentioned Black Eagle Brewery. From the 17th century Brick Lane has seen waves of immigrants come and go over the centuries. The French Huguentos, who were master weavers based in Spitalfields, moved into the Brick Lane area for housing. The theme of weaving, tailoring and clothes making continued to grow and in the 19th century Irish people and Ashkenazi Jews settled in the area. More recently and to present day the major group of immigrants has been from Bangladesh. #bricklane #spitalfields #eastlondon #bethnalgreenroad #londonwalkingtour #eastend #eastlondonwalk #hiddenlondon #secretlondon #bricklanecurry Location map: https://goo.gl/maps/QKRAVoAhFTjx7tgY9 Date filmed: 12th December 2021 Timestamps: 0:00 Commercial Street & Ten Bells public house 0:38 Fournier Street 5:31 Brick Lane 6:27 Princelet Street 7:41 Hanbury Street 8:45 Woodseer Street and old truman Brewery buildings 11:21 93 Feet East nightclub 12:33 Buxton Street 15:40 Grimsby Street 16:15 Cheshire Street 16:35 Sclater Street 17:33 Bacon Street 18:27 Beigel Bake 19:00 Bethnal Green Road For full experience best watched on 4k TV If you enjoy watching the video please remember to like 👍 as it helps us grow our channel and also subscribe so you don't miss upcoming videos 😊 🎥 Equipment used in our videos.
