The very underrated island of Amorgos belongs to the Cyclades. The island with its beautiful beaches and high mountains used as a filming location for Luc Besson's film "Le Grand Blue". When you are there you will know why :) The incredible Monastery of Hozoviotissa is built in the near vertical falling rock. The towns of Katapola and Aegiali are full with tavernas and cafes. The two mountain villages of Tholaria and Langada are well worth visiting. The island is very quiet and you will find no mass tourism here.
