Sewing Machine Cabinet Welcome Beautiful Friends To Mistie Vapour’s House of Chandeliers & Mirrors “Where I wear the Chandeliers in this house!” I have been fixing up /makeover / renovating or if you like to call it resorting / up-cycling up my furniture again and would love to share with you, The Story behind this old piece of furniture… Back in 1992, I started working for a Lady in her cleaning business. To this day I still visit with her. She is retired now, and we happened to end up living in the same area. Many years ago, she gave me the Sewing machine. I can’t quite remember exactly but it was in or around 1996 or maybe, 1998. I would have to go through my photo albums to find out when it appeared on the scene. But I have dragged it from house to house and finally to here. Where I now own my own home and have dragged it out of my shipping container to fix her up and give her a splash of pink. In my lifetime, I have had many old sewing machines and I wish I could have kept them all. But about this one. Singer Capri LI O 000287 N/457/F340 I have searched the internet and can not find any information on it. It may either be a 1950 or 1970 but I am still not sure. If you know where I can find information on this sewing machine Please pop over to my Facebook   / mistie.vapour   If and when I find out its value, if it’s not likely to become valuable, I intend on painting it pink as a display. But if it does hold value, I would keep it in its original so that a collector does not have to strip the paint back to its original. Oh! what a pain that would be.
