We get a lot of questions in the winter about snow on solar panels. Often people ask if it pays to manually remove snow from the panels. Although in most instances, we discourage doing this because the snow slides off on it's own, we understand there are exceptions. Especially during our Midwest winters, we can occasionally get a combination of snow, ice & low temperatures that cause snow stick to the panels longer than normal. If you feel the need to remove the snow, we'll show you how much difference it makes and, most importantly, how to do it safely. The Sno-Pro foam roof rake we use in the video is an American made product sold by a family-owned company in Michigan. Here's a link to the product: https://www.roofrake.com/Productpages... The Snow Peeler can be found on Amazon or at other online hardware stores. It has a hard nylon bottom that will be safe for the solar panels if not used aggressively. If you have any questions about this or solar panels in general, send us a message.
