1/8 Offroad RC, Batlle and Iivonen practicing at Tattarisuo, Helsinki, Finland

Finally our club has an offroad track for 1/8 offroad cars. We were forced to stop running our older track like three years ago, a track for 1/1 cars was built around (yes, sounds odd but true) our track area so it wasn't safe anymore. Now we have a new track which is located next to our onroad track so it is kind of more simple now. Mr. Robert Batlle, @robertbatlle1973 , was attending the Nordics 1/8 Offroad 2023 at Vaasa and before leaving Finland he had free time to visit our local club! I bought very recently a video camera and hadn´t yet shot anything with it but I had it in my car because was planning to practice the usage of the camera by filming offroad cars. I wish I would have had earlier some time to practice it because it felt wrong to practice filming drivers like Pekko Iivonen and Batlle! But here we go. At first there was Batlle with the red car and some Estoninan talented guy with the blue/white car (sorry, don´t know his name). Then later on Pekko Iivonen joined with his Mayako. At first the track was too dry (I know I should have done the watering right away but I didn´t dare right away. The watering was done and in the last section of this video the grip was propably a bit more logical. When the track is too dry I assume the line can be very grippy but outside of the line the grip goes low very abruptly. The track layout will be changed, it will be bigger. Now the layout seems to be quite easy but it is actually quite tricky. It is currently not very smooth and there is some very narrow lines; you can drive a certain place flat out a straight line but the line is very narrow and it is easy to hit a pipe there. Pekko and Robert had their most intense and most fun practice car vs. car when I was driving also so I wasn´t able to film.
