Towers Cheerleaders - Season 13!

We took 79 students (in years 7-13) to Future Cheers Schools Nationals in Stoneleigh, just below Coventry, leaving school at 4am because cheerleading competitions start at ridiculous times! There were big divisions this year with lots of all-star teams attaching themselves to schools to make very good competition. The girls performed so well and I'm very proud of them. Youth level 1 - 3rd place Junior level 1 - 4th place Senior level 1 - 1st place (It was very close!) The NAEC is a huge arena and they performed in front of hundreds of people. We had 70 parents buy tickets and drive up there to support, which was lovely. Both coach drivers said they couldn't believe how well behaved the students were and how clean the buses were left. We held a Peg and Pizza night where all the cheerleaders decorated good luck pegs in the canteen (it's a cheer thing). It was really lovely to see the Towers students giving their good luck pegs to students from other schools and cheering the other teams on. Cheerleaders also represented Towers by opening the Kennington Fayre yesterday. They had a huge crowd and we definitely took over the fayre with the cheerleaders and their families. Lovely to see lots of staff supporting, too.
