Everyone knows that the true Uni-Vibe magic begins with photocells, so naturally JHS started there, crafting a pristine, authentic analog circuit which they then enhanced with tap tempo for a lush modulator that combines the best of vintage sonics and modern functionality. In addition to standard controls for volume, depth, and speed, the Unicorn also features a dry/wet switch for going between full-wet vibrato and classic Uni-vibe tones, a ratio knob for selecting between quarter note, eighth note, dotted eighth, and triplet tap subdivisions, and an internal switch for selecting between external tap mode and expression pedal mode. These modes allow you to use the tap/expression jack with either an external tap tempo pedal, or an expression pedal, to control the pedal's speed on-the-fly. The JHS Unicorn is made by hand in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, and is powered by industry standard 9-volt, negative center, DC electricity.
