This stop on our Romanian Christmas Market Road Trip brought us to Cluj’s beautiful Piata Unirii Christmas Market, right in the heart of the city. Though our visit was shorter than planned (thanks to some very chilly weather and a tired little traveler!), we still managed to capture the cozy magic and vibrant spirit of this winter wonderland. From the sparkling lights around St. Michael’s Church to the scent of mulled wine and chimney cakes in the air, the Cluj Christmas Market is full of charm and warmth — even on the coldest days. It’s the perfect spot to stroll, grab a hot drink, and enjoy Romania’s festive traditions with family and friends.
