Nepal Bus Accident: 18 Killed After Bus Plunges Off Into Trishuli River In Dhading, Rescue Ops On

At least 18 people were killed after a passenger bus plunged into the Trishuli River in Nepal’s Dhading district. The bus was travelling from Pokhara to Kathmandu when it reportedly went off the road near Gajuri along the Prithvi Highway, tumbling nearly 300 metres down a steep slope. More than 35 passengers were onboard. At least 20 people were injured, with 28 taken to hospitals. Rescue operations by army and police continue as authorities investigate overspeeding as a possible cause.
