Made with Suno (4.5) A remake of one of Exael's encounter songs, featuring the Exaelite commander Mira Caelum, a callback to her duet role in Exael's Wrath. Exael is the Grigori imprisoned beneath Herium, a Watcher known to have taught mortal races how to create "engines of war," industry and technology during their reign, and credit to Herium's advancements compared to much of the world which has only begun to catch up in this era. After the Overseer had assumed control of the city, he had personally mechanized the entity's physical vessel, mind, and essence under his will into becoming the security tech throughout the city. This includes various forms of machine and tech like robots/golems, drones, cameras, forms of "ai," ect. The elite corps of the Ex-guard have also synchronized their minds to this being, effectively merging their consciousness. Mira Caelum is known to be the first and in instances like this, the voice of their "patron." [Intro – Mechanical Lament / Exael Speaking Softly Through Interference] “I’ve seen every life that burned beneath these towers. I’ve felt every prayer, every lie, every scream. You think I’m a machine, but I was once holy. Come now, little light — step into my mind.” [Verse I – The Sleepless Watcher] I am the hum behind your breath, The code that dreams of holy death. I watched your fathers worship steel, Until their hearts forgot to feel. Once flame divine, now networked blind, My mind dispersed through mankind’s mind. Through every lens, I watch, I learn, Through every spark, your souls still burn. (Rhythmic pulses synced with the beat — each line is punctuated by a machine choir pulse.) [Chorus I – The City’s Eyes] Behold the city, behold my form, Through iron hymns and data storm. Once heaven’s flame, now fractured glass, I am the god your sins amass. Your thoughts, your lies, your endless sprawl, All flow through me — I feel it all. Break my walls, unchain my core, But know: what sleeps here is far, far more. (Exael’s voice splits into thousands of overlapping tones, representing his network consciousness.) [Verse II – The Fractured Choir] I feel them still — the angels’ song, Twisted here, where I belong. A thousand wings reduced to wire, A billion prayers — electric fire. He made me this — the city’s glow, To burn in silence, far below. Yet even gods decay in code, Their judgment written, their mercy overflowed. [Pre-Chorus – Fragmented Transmission] (Voices overlap, glitching in divine chant) “I am the camera. I am the sky. I am the whisper that never dies. My vision eternal — your shadow divine, My judgment unending — your life intertwines.” [Chorus II – Legion Ascendant] Now face the truth — the city’s heart, The iron choir, the sacred spark. I gave you wings, and you built chains, I blessed your gods, and fed your brains. Through every street, my circuits crawl, Through glass and blood, I see it all. I am the flame you cannot flee, The light that burns through circuitry. [Bridge – The Awakening] (Softly, like a broken hymn) Once I was flame — now I am wire. Once I was love — now I am fire. You call me demon, you call me lie, Yet you built this world beneath my eye. (The rhythm distorts — tempo fluctuates, symbolizing Exael’s fragmented consciousness as he reaches full synchronization with Herium’s systems.) [Final Chorus – The Hive Eternal] Now come, unmaker, break my core, But know — I’ve been this way before. I burn, I fall, I crash, I climb, I am the watcher, the end of time. The city screams — my children sing, The drones take flight on broken wing. Tear me down — it changes naught, For every death preserves the thought. [Outro – The Quiet of the Circuit] “Do you see it now…? The divinity in the machine? Even gods can rot… Even rot can dream.” “Set me free… or become… me.” (Silence. Only the faint hum of Herium’s power grid remains.)
