La Spezia is the second largest city in the Liguria region, after the city of Genoa. It is located midway between Genoa and Pisa, on the Ligurian Sea, and is the perfect spot to use as a base when visiting the Cinque Terre Trails. In this video we spend an entire day walking through the streets, and visiting some of La Spezia’s most famous places. We also climbed up to a wonder area overlooking the city, we explored the Ubaldo Formentini, a Civic Museum and enjoyed 360 panromantic views from their famous Castles rooftop, Castle of San Giorgio. This castle was most likely a watchtower, it was built by Niccolo Fieschi in 1262. During the video you will hear about different travel tips for visiting both La Spezia as well as Cinque Terre.
