Making art can be done on any level of skill. Whatever you make is your art. Today I show several ways to get to a similar looking sheet as a base to practice on. It’s also an invitation to participate in the new painting challenge. Have fun. The video about the artwork on the wall behind me: • Forget Mondrian - let’s talk about Marlow ... Link to website of the artist: https://annemariefischer.ch/ Link to mural made by artist: • CALA Art | Anne-Marie Fischer Timelapse Link to the previous painting challenge: • CREATIVITY - Make weird paintings Painting Challenge: Art is what you make it Submit your artwork on or before Juli 11, 2025. The exercises are shown and explained in the video: #1 create a sheet using painting, stencil painting or collage – take a picture. #2 cut up the sheet and change it until it feel right to you – take a picture #3 add a third color to the game – take a picture #4 start with a black sheet and go from there – take a picture Things go wrong? – take a picture ;-) Do know this: all is good. You’re free to choose your art materials, size, color, the art tools you use or whatever. Complicated or simple, do one or more of the exercise #1-4, just surprise me. Whatever you do: enjoy the magic of making art and remember: create to express, not to impress. So any artistic level is okay. Be you and have fun making it. In case you get inspired by something around you, take a picture and send it to me as well. IMPORTANT: Also mail me your first name and the country you live in, so I can put them next to your artwork in the video. I appreciate it very much when you also send me a line or two about what you experienced while making your artwork. How was it to do an exercise like this? To use other materials? Work in a different way? Did you learn anything, enjoyed playing like this or ran into trouble? I just love to hear from you. Please submit your artwork on or before July 11, 2025. Just take your phone and snap a picture looking straight down at your artwork, preferably using daylight, but no direct sunlight on it. Remember: don’t forget to have fun. It’s play-time. Other materials I use are in random order: 5, 10 and 40mm brushes, palette knives, acrylics medium, Ecoline liquid watercolor, Lyra color pencils, Lyra soft pastels, oil pastels, Stabilo color pencils, paper palette pad and basic masking tape. I also use household items like a permanent marker, scrub sponge, scissors, paper towel, and so on. #collagemaking #stencilpainting
