Another year, another line, another milestone. The Battlefield Line is now celebrating it's 50th year in preservation, and to mark the occasion they held a three day Gala over the weekend of the 18th - 20th of October 2019. With three loco's in action running an intensive timetable including double headers and demonstration goods trains there was plenty going on at this little talk about line in the Leicestershire countryside. Locomotives Included: Modified Hall Class 6968 'Wightwick Hall' from Buckinghamshire Railway Centre Manor Class 7820 'Dinmore Manor' from the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway. Small Prairie Tank 5542 (resident) All be it a very GWR heavy line up on this former Midland route, the Gala still had a feel to it, and the weather also helped in that respect. Hope you enjoy!
