The stock TRX4 shocks are good - really good for stock shocks in fact. However, there is one drawback. The o-ring and spacer combo from the factory seems slightly too thick and causes un-needed pressure on the shock shaft...creating drag or a "sticking" shock. Based on the Traxxas and RCCrawler forums, a common suggestion is to remove one of the o-rings and fill that area with a green slime to keep the oil in. Well, I didn't have any green slime laying around, but I had a few leftover small o-rings from previous shock rebuild jobs. In this video, I show some orange o-rings, that if you look closely really are not correct. The inside diameter is too large. What I found to work the best was some MST/Yokomo o-rings from a shock rebuild I did on the drift car a little while back. Link: https://amzn.to/2COqhyN This really worked well!!!
