Watch as I create a new art piece of a chimpanzee, while diving into one of science’s most controversial and emotionally complex topics: animal testing. In this video, I explore the many layers of animal experimentation—what it means, why it's done, and whether it's truly ethical. From the different types of animal testing to the concept of the Three Rs (Replace, Reduce, Refine), I question how we justify using animals in science, especially when they can't give consent. Referencing ideas like the cognitive trade-off hypothesis, I raise the tough questions many avoid: Can we balance scientific progress with animal welfare? Are there alternatives we’re not exploring deeply enough?
