🍩 Donut Ingredients (for about 10–12 donuts): • 7 g active dry yeast (1 packet) • 240 ml( one cup )warm milk (about 43°C) • 50 g ( 3 tablespoons ) granulated sugar • 60 g unsalted butter, softened • 2 large egg (about 110 g) • 500 g (light cups ) all-purpose flour (plus a little extra for dusting) • 1/2 teaspoon salt (about 3 g) • Oil for frying (about 500–700 ml ( 3 cups 700g ) vegetable or sunflower oil) 🍩 How to Prepare Donuts 1. Activate the yeast • In a bowl, mix warm milk (240 ml), sugar (50 g), and yeast (7 g). • Stir gently and let it rest for 15 minutes until it becomes foamy. 2. Make the dough • In a the bowl, add one cup water and combine 2 eggs with the activated yeast mixture. Add flour (500 g) and salt (3 g). • Add softened butter (60 g), and kneaded • Mix until a sticky dough forms, then knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. 3. First rise • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with plastic wrap or a towel. • Let it rise in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours, until doubled in size. 4. Shape the donuts • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to 2 cm thickness. • Cut out circles with a donut cutter or two round molds (one large, one small for the center). • Arrange them on a tray with parchment paper. 5. Second rise • Cover and let them rest for 30–40 minutes, until puffed. 6.
