This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Code city is corrupt with and hunting down the criminals can be a tough job. Adam Tornhill investigates the code with forensic psychology to find programming bugs. Adam combines degrees in engineering and psychology to get a different perspective on the cognitive and social challenges of software. In his day job as a software consultant he works as an architect and programmer. Adam also writes open-source software in a variety of programming languages. He's the author of the popular Lisp for the Web, has self-published a book on Patterns in C and is currently writing a book on Code as a Crime Scene for the Pragmatic Programmers. Other interests include modern history, music and martial arts.
