Hello everyone and welcome to a new video! If you missed my previous videos for this project, here is the design video • Designing a Historically Accurate Disney J... and the first vlog about the construction • Making a Historically Accurate Disney Jane... This is vlog number 2 of sewing/making/construction a Historically Accurate (or the term I prefer coined, as far as I know, by Sewstine, historically adequate!) Jane Porter from Tarzan, the Disney film from 1999. In this vlog, we tackle the skirts which consist of an underskirt and an overskirt. Both of these were made using Truly Victorian patterns that I had not worked with before, but I found them both useful and decently easy to follow (although all the ties may be a little fussy). For types of fabrics, quantities, and more pattern detaisl, please see my first video! I think altogether they create a really good silhouette! There are, of course, some tweaks I'd still like to make to improve the look altogether, but I think this was a solid attempt at this decade (especially considering it was my first!). If you are in a Disney mood, please see the list in this description with many others making Disney costumes :) I really enjoyed this project and I don't think my historical Disney journey will end here 👀 Thank you for watching! -- RELEVANT THINGS -- Designing a Historically Accurate Jane Porter • Designing a Historically Accurate Disney J...
