Cameron, West Virginia is located in Marshall County and has a population of 796. Nestled in the hills of the Appalachia Mountains, it has endured severe economic hardship. Founded in 1861, it became a flourishing area with the B&O Railroad, Glass Production, and Clay Pottery creations. Unfortunately, as the railroad decommissioned, the glass plant going out of business, and worse yet the Clay Pottery burning down in the 1960's, the economy never recovered. Many of the area's jobs were lost, and today it's a grim reminder of what once was. Abandoned businesses, houses, and many families having to leave to find better opportunities. It is however, still a very charming place, with historic parts downtown and overall a good community. Let's take a drive and check it out... ►Join my community for exclusive members only content: / @hoodsnhollers
