From Higashi-Kitazawa Station, I passed next to the University of Tokyo, and as I walked along the stone pavement, the wind blowing through the garden shook the trees, and I felt as if I could hear the faint voices of memory. Behind the heavy doors of the Western-style building built in the early Showa period, a luxurious space spread out, and the bustle of banquets and the quiet atmosphere of the night were quietly preserved. Every time I walked quietly through the mansion, the silence penetrated my ears, and I felt as if I was in an atmosphere that transcended time. In the spacious garden, the laughter of parents and children melted into the fresh greenery, and it felt like a small bridge connecting the past and the present.
