During this off-season, we’ll be filling in some pro cycling blind spots from the past, and this was one of those races that returned to the chat this year, so to speak, with the wildly unexpected win of Canadian Magdeleine Vallieres at the World Champioinships in Rwanda. We decided to go back and really look and how this Olympic race panned out and exactly how the practically-unknown winner managed to pull it off.
