During their residency, artists share a presentation about their creative process and residency experience with the Open AIR community. This video serves as both an archive and a resource for all. About the Artist: Becky is a California native and Montana transplant. She has always been a maker of sorts. Aside from being an artist, Becky can add mom, florist, film student, cat lover, slinger of vintage clothes, and art framer to her resume. She finds her true passion as an assemblage and collage artist, reimagining the world around her through found objects. As such, she has a lifelong love of tacky glue. About the Site: Home ReSource is a nonprofit community sustainability center in Missoula, Montana, dedicated to reducing waste and fostering a vibrant, just, and sustainable local economy. Founded in 2003, the organization operates a building materials reuse store that annually diverts over 900 tons of materials from landfills, providing affordable resources to the community. Beyond retail, Home ReSource offers educational programs like the Zero Waste Ambassadors Program (ZWAP!) for local schools, job training initiatives for individuals facing employment barriers, and collaborative efforts such as the Zero Waste Missoula coalition. Through these programs, Home ReSource actively promotes a circular economy by encouraging the reuse, repair, and recycling of materials.
