We are learning more after a helicopter pilot who was critically injured in a midair crash in New Jersey died on Sunday. Investigators say the midair collision happened just before noon on Dec. 28 shortly after the two helicopters launched from Hammonton Municipal Airport. 65-year-old Kenneth Kirsch and 71-year-old Michael Greenberg were identified as the pilots involved. LiveNOW’s Shawna Khalafi is learning more tonight from Greg Payne with FOX 29, who is coming to us live from the scene of the crash. Reports indicate that an Enstrom model F-28A piloted by 65-year-old Kenneth Kirsch burst into flames upon crash landing into a tree line off Basin Road, less than a mile from the airport. Similar reporting shows an Enstrom model 280C that was being flown by Michael Greenberg, 71, crashed in an open field. Greenberg, a Sewell resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.
