The Delhi police have formed a special investigation cell to investigate the Delhi riots that took place last year. This cell will be chaired by a retired SP K.G. Tyagi. To accelerate and conclude the remaining investigation of outstanding investigation cases, the police headquarters has attached 14 officers who were previously working in the Northeast area during the riots and aided in the investigation of these cases.
