The Himalayas... the most beautiful mountain range in the world, which only local populations know how to tame. The hostile conditions and altitude make these regions wild and isolated places. “Himalaya” means abode of snow in Nepali. A translation which suggests the beauty of a grandiose and dizzying nature, with passes at more than 6200m. Stéven Le Hyaric, a fan of great expeditions and encounters, wants to experience discovery by bike on the Great Himalaya Trail, one of the longest mountain hiking trails. Winding along the foot of high peaks and passing communities at the ends of the world, the path crosses lush green valleys, arid high plateaus and other extraordinary landscapes. For the cyclist, the bicycle remains the most suitable way to enter these magical places with respect, and to create links with communities. Then begins a 60-day journey on the roof of the world, to cross the Nepalese Himalayas from east to west, from Kangchenjunga to Hilsa.
