Hello :) This is the requested transcription I've done of the Robert Palmer medley of songs "Mercy Mercy Me / I Want You". This song comes from a live performance "Live at the Dome (Part 3)" in 1991. The bass player on this track was Frank Blair. You can find this transcription at Muzento when you sign up with an Advanced Lesson Plan. haha...holy cow there's a lot of notes in this song! :) This one took me 15 hours over 9 days to do. There were many challenges, including find a good sound on my bass. My regular sound just wasn't doing it, so I had to spend some time turning knobs. I'd much rather just play and let others worry about the knobs...but you gotta do what you gotta do right? :) So what can I say about this bass part. It's a really busy part with a ton of rhythms. It's one of those songs that keep you humble ;) But If you've got the time (and patience) and you can stick with it, there's some really good things to be learned from this one. It's a project kind of song, but the more of these you do, the faster you begin to learn them and the more rounded of a player you'll become...at least that's what I keep telling myself :P Good luck with this one. I hope you enjoy working on it...I did :) Don't forget to like and subscribe and thanks for watching :) -------------- If you appreciate what I do and or find it helpful, I hope you might consider supporting me through the following: GregsTranscripts - https://www.gregstranscripts.com/ Muzento - https://www.muzento.com Patreon - / gregfairweather or you can make a donation through PayPal at - http://bit.do/Much-appreciated ------------------- Copyright Disclaimer: Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for fair use for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.
