How to VPN using SonicWALL Netextender from Windows PC - SonicWALL SSL VPN Type

Hello and welcome to another video from best of tutorials YouTube channel, my name is Ammar and in this video, I will talk about how to connect to your work network using a VPN connection. In this video, I will use the SonicWALL SSL VPN on Windows PC. I will have other videos for other types of VPNs and other types of SonicWALL VPN (Mac, iOS, and Andriod) so please make sure to subscribe to the channel so you never miss any video, and please like this video because it helps the channel grow. In this video, I will show you how to install the SonicWALL VPN net extender or maybe it's called Dell net extender Which will be used to VPN to your work network. I will show you how to connect to your organization network from your home or remote using the application I also how to network sign in or remote desktop to your work network depending on your organization setup. First, to download the application that we will use, We need to open the web browser any of them is OK and to make it easy for you, I uploaded the application to one of our servers, and it's available for the public. To download SonicWALL net extender, just type http://download.fraservalleytechnolog... that stands for Netextender. After you download, hit run, please note that you might not have the permission to install the application because your system administrator or your organization policy does not allow users to install apps, in this case, you might have to ask your IT person to do this step for you. After you have the VPN client setup, now it is time to test it. This info should be provided by your system administrator. I happen to have a SonicWALL in my testing lab, and I am a system administrator, so I have what I need. I will log out now, please note that I have this extra option here now, network sign in. Now, let us assume that you took your laptop home, here is what you need to do. We have two way to login, one is called network login and the other is the direct login, if you choose the network login, you have to be connected to the internet, this login runs all the login scripts including mapping your network drives and any policy was set up by your system administrator. The other login, and it depends if your system administrator allows it when you are not inside the network, this allows you to log in to the pc in-case you have no internet but you still need to do some work using your computer or if you need to connect to wifi some issues are known for older Windows that it does not allow you to connect to wifi before signing in etc. Finally, If your system administrator asks you to remote desktop to another PC maybe your work PC has some software that can’t be installed on your laptop or other reasons, this is how to do it.
