From the cable car station, it's easy to find the path that will lead you to the top of the lower summit of the volcano, the Rucu Pichincha (4698 m). Even for a good hiker, the ascent can be really challenging if you are not acclimatized well enough to the altitude. The ever changing weather conditions, strong winds and cold are not helping either!
