This video was made a couple days before Ollie left the nest. Since then, he's been seen flying around the ranch with his momma. He's about 10 weeks old now. He was 5 weeks old in the video. Please read! This owl was FULLY RAISED by it's mom in our barn in 2012! The mom has nested in the barn 7 YEARS IN A ROW! She is used to us coming in the barn to get hay. The mother fully assisted in the successful fledge. In fact, we saw them several times throughout the summer flying around the area of the ranch where the barn is located. Unlike "rescued" owls who starve to death when released, this owl FLOURISHED, along with it's mother.
