#purplevision #thekotch #PurpleVisionra Hello you beautiful lot and this adventure is a grand one indeed. it's been just over a year since I've start researching in to my local history and one place I loved Soo much was Furnace Lane of Finedon. With new knowledge gained from "Memories of old Finedon" Facebook group   / 284455638727746   and Finedon History Society group   / finedon   I head out to re-film. I start my journey at the furnace cottages where I hear the locals fought off the original plans for an Isham bypass in 1998. I managed to have a closer look at Midland Pallets site which was once Excelsior wagon works where a turn table and rails can still be seen in the yard. Biggest shock of all to me was having the great privilege to view and see pictures of the renovation work that has been going to the old sewage works pump house. Special thanks to Mr T for showing me around and I only hope to see the place in it's fully finished. #granddesign He then proceeded to tell me that over the other side of the railway where many reed filter beds but sadly the land is private and secured so I wasn't able to get in but overlay maps come in handy.
