The second annual DNA Day took place on Saturday, March 19, 2016, in the atrium of the University of Chicago’s Gordon Center for Integrative Science. The event was sponsored by the National Institutes of Health Conte Center for Computational Neuropsychiatric Genomics, with the goal of promoting public awareness about molecular biology and DNA science. The program included three expert researchers in the field: Jacob J. Michaelson, PhD (University of Iowa), Alison M. Bell, PhD (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign), and Danielle M. Dick, PhD (Virginia Commonwealth University). The speakers shared their research with interactive presentations and answered questions. Lab tours and hands-on demonstrations followed.
