Today we will look at North of Madrid which is fastest growing part and will start at Plaza Castilla which at the edge of neighbourhood Teutan and Chamartin. It is important travel hub with bus station and many metro stations and Chamartin train station is also very close. With its obelisk and 2 towers called Purta de Europa or Gate to Europe is a gate between north of Madrid and center through Paseo de la Castellana which stretches from Plaza de Colon all the way to Cuatro Torres which which is where we go after. Cuatro Torres is Northern business district with 4 tallest buildings in Spain, plus now one more skyscraper. These four skyscrapers are among the tallest buildings in the EU. Torre de Crystal is highest with 249m followed by Torre Cepsa with 248m, PWC Torre with 236 which also has a hotel and last from original Torre Espacio with 224m which was actually first to build in 2007, rest was finished within next two years and in 2020 much shorter Torre Caleido home of ie university was building and stands at 181m. Its very vibrant new part of Madrid which also has nice restaurants and shops. So lets explore more of Madrid together. ES Ven a explorar más de Madrid conmigo.
