I've never had a problem with it overheating while cruising but towing in the mountains or in the desert shows you the weak points of the cooling system. With the bigger motor we want to upgrade the cooling to match so we can tow all the motorcycles or boats we want. Here's what we are doing: new larger radiator, cutting out the floor for direct airflow into the radiator, modifying the belly pan, larger mechanical fan, and a custom fan shroud to fit.
