Here I am stripping random circuit boards to get the gold and other metals. WHERE TO FIND GOLD ON A CIRCUT BOARDS: Gold-plated connectors and pins are everywhere on motherboards. Fingers: (Gold plating on edge of circuit boards) are found on Ram Sticks/Memory Sticks and other random boards.  CPUs BGAs, flat pack chip are rich in gold.  High-end and specialised devices:Military, server, and aerospace equipment can have higher gold content.  QUANTITIES OF GOLD: One ton of circuit boards:Can contain varying amounts, from less than a gram to over 300 grams, depending on the mix of devices.  One pound of circuit boards:Contains roughly 0.2-0.35 grams of gold.  Factors influencing gold content: Device type:Consumer-grade devices have less gold than older, industrial, or military-grade equipment.  NEW & OLD E WASTE Newer devices use less gold than they used to, but gold plating continues to be used in high-quality electronics to prevent corrosion and improve conductivity.
