This trip blends adventure, relaxation, and sightseeing — making it an unforgettable NSW escape. 🗓 Day 1 – Journey to Hunter Valley We began our road trip from Sydney, stopping at Finchley Lookout in Yengo National Park, where we explored the Finchley Cultural Walk and admired ancient Aboriginal rock engravings. From there, we continued to the Hunter Valley Gardens, which were themed with dinosaurs and mythical creatures, offering colourful displays, rides, and a ferris wheel. We stayed both nights at Harkham Lodge, enjoying a relaxed evening and dinner on our first night in the valley. 🎈 Day 2 – Ballooning, Lakes & Historic Villages The highlight of our trip was an early morning hot air balloon flight over the Hunter Valley with Balloon Aloft. Floating above vineyards at sunrise was a truly magical experience and an unforgettable way to see the region. After landing, breakfast at Petersen House – Restaurant Cuvee was included with the ballooning experience. Later in the day, we explored Singleton, visiting the Singleton Sundial, before heading to Lake St Clair for peaceful lakeside views.
