We have done capsize tests with the sailing rig but this was the first time we did it as a row boat. Why now? The star of our little video is Inger and she is entered in the 70/48 human power only race from Tacoma to Port Townsend. The PT 11 is only 11 ft long so she just might get left in the 'wake' of others by virtue of being simply waterline challenged. But Inger has spirit and we are excited to do whatever we can to give her even the smallest advantage in her endeavor. Besides, as with the Race to Alaska, winning the 70/48 is only a facade of the race. Yes, there will be one cash winner, but everyone who finishes is a winner in the way that really counts.
