Shoplifting in Britain has reached its highest point in 22 years according to data. Iceland boss Richard Walker recently reported the supermarket loses £20 million per year to shoplifters and several outlets are installing methods to prevent thieves. Last week a shop owner Rob Davies was in the news because he left a sign in his shop describing shoplifters as 'scumbags' - which was later asked to be taken down by police as it was deemed 'offensive'.
