Lake 22 Trail: A Close-Call Nightmare

The scariest day of my life. And of course, it had to happen with my husband’s pup. 😰 There’s so much beauty and wonder in nature. I thoroughly enjoy hiking with my pup and I love building and sharing these memories with her. I don’t know about you, but I wanted to start having routine “mother and daughter” adventures with Clover Mae and I started hiking to escape the busy-ness of my life—we call it “Mountain Therapy”, and it can bring so much tranquility and joy to our lives. I’m an active and goofy girl, I’ve begun to embrace my weirdness, and I like spending time with my active and goofy pup. This is the foundation of what started my vlogs. 💜 I’m usually well-prepared (I’ve had a few slip-ups and forgot an item or 2, but I’m constantly improving), especially with the top 10 basic essentials. Everyone talks about the fun they have on hikes, everyone posts all the awe-inspiring photos on their social media, and all the amazing adventures... But what nobody really shares is the worst experiences. This was, by far, the SCARIEST thing I’ve ever had to deal with so far. Everything was fabulous going up, but then things took a turn for the worst on our return—it didn’t go as planned. Nothing challenges and forces you to learn a hard lesson quicker than the experience itself. Luckily, it all ended well. I’m grateful to the kind-hearted and courageous heroes who stopped to help my family out. My heart will always remember and always be thankful to you both.
