I Can't Feel At Home in This World Anymore

I was thinking of the world around me and how wonderful it is to have a home, unlike many people on this planet. I am privileged and I never forget that. We need to work together to make the world a better place for everyone. My arrangement of this old southern gospel song. I use DADGAD tuning, play lap style slide, and have help from Eva Deivert on the violins. The arrangement is inspired by Geoff Muldaur's version, which is called This World Is Not My Home on his SECRET HANDSHAKE album. My version is very different, but Geoff's feel for chord substitutions and arrangements have really moved me since I first heard him play. He also has a little homage to Woody Guthrie's classic song (I Don't Have a Home In This World Anymore) based on the original melody. There are countless versions of the song in old time and country versions too, such as the Carter Family's version in the late1920's to early 1930's.
