One of only two UK made CB radios to ever hit the market, the Magpie Autoscan 5000 hit the UK market around 1983 at a whopping £199. Made with a fibreglass plted through PCB..something the far eastern manufacturers didn't start doing until about 2000, and still some stucj with the brown SRBP boards for many years later. Bought off Ebay 'as is', wity no mic or power lead I paid either £90 or £95 for this about 3 years ago. Luckily for me Ipicked up a box of rabdom mikes the same year from an amateur radio rally & a Magpie up/down mike just happened to be in the box. Turns out stillto be wired for Magpie & works.
