Wide of fish market STORYLINE: There were mixed reactions from Tripoli residents on Friday to the return to the Libyan capital on Thursday of interim Prime Minister Mahmoud Jibril. At coffee shops and fish markets across the city, people were speculating as to what the arrival of the National Transitional Council (NTC) executive means for the rebuilding of the country. Over morning coffee, Omron Ziglam, 54, a municipal worker from Tripoli, was pleased with Jibril''s first appearance in Tripoli. "His speech was good, he is an educated, vigilant man for the new order with excellent plans," said Ziglam. Ramadan Ibrahim, a retired engineer from Tripoli was more cautious. "They shouldn''t be delaying this anymore and I think they are very, not very, but a little bit slow to take the necessary actions on time, I think there is some delay in this," he said. At an early morning fish market, fishermen were busy with the catch of day. Local fishmonger Ashraf Hamza was pleased that Jibril had finally come to Tripoli, but now wanted to see some results from the new administration. "We hope the NTC will improve the country and its infrastructure and development of skyscrapers and tourism. It will be much better than before, god willing. Now we hope that the people will grab the reigns of power," he said. Rebel forces effectively ended Moammar Gadhafi''s rule last month when they seized Tripoli, sending the 42-year autocrat into hiding. Libya''s new rulers have been searching for him while trying to negotiate the surrender of towns still held by Gadhafi supporters. On Thursday Moammar Gadhafi called on his remaining loyalists to keep fighting, and Gadhafi loyalists fired at least 10 rockets from inside Bani Walid, one of the towns at former rebel forces amassed outside.
