Optoma HD27 DLP Projector Intermittent Power Supply Repair

This HD27 was sent to me by a day job customer who has had nothing but trouble with it from day one. Optoma allegedly looked at it and couldn't find the problem. I looked at it a few times and was unable to lock down a problem. Finally after the 3rd time getting it sent back in, I was able to find the component causing the intermittent lack of 12V. The solution ended up being a bad P-Channel Mosfet in the power supply. It's job was to control the 12V DC to the mainboard. It was intermittently unable to turn on. I ended up using a physically larger Mosfet to replace the old one since I wasn't able to source the original part. Being that its only switching 12V, the size difference is negligible. Physically it has plenty of clearance from the other components. As of publishing this video, the projector is still running properly(4 months later) and the owner said it's never acted up since he got it back the last time.
