The Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) Mandir, located in Abu Mureikhah near Al Rahba, spans approximately 27 acres of land. Construction began in 2019, with the UAE government generously donating the land for this endeavor. In a notable gesture, the Burj Khalifa illuminated with the message "Guest of Honor - the Republic of India" ahead of PM Modi's participation in the World Government Summit. During the 'Ahlan Modi' event at Zayed Sports Stadium in Abu Dhabi, PM Modi lauded the robust partnership between India and the UAE, labeling them "partners in progress." He emphasized the significance of their ties as a model for global cooperation, citing their achievements in community and culture. Additionally, both nations signed a landmark agreement facilitating the interlinking of domestic debit/credit cards — RuPay (India) with JAYWAN (UAE).
